Covered worldwide and supported quickly in a medical emergency: travel health insurance covers the costs of medical treatment, medication and necessary transport abroad.
24/7 emergency service
Multilingual experts support you in a medical emergency, day or night, and arrange repatriation if needed.
Direct billing
We settle the costs directly with the hospital or doctor – no paperwork, no lengthy back-and-forth.
One trip or all year round
Choose between affordable annual travel health insurance or a single-trip policy – whatever suits your travel plans.
Statutory health insurance from your home country often covers little or nothing outside Europe – and even within the EU, costs like repatriation are rarely included. Travel health insurance closes this gap, wherever you're headed.

Treatment costs
Even minor illnesses can cost thousands – e.g. over €4,000 for a stomach infection or over €3,000 for bronchitis or a middle-ear infection
Treatment by a doctor or in hospital is covered worldwide, with no financial risk to you
Paying on the spot
Abroad, you often have to pay for treatment yourself upfront – e.g. over €2,600 for gastroenteritis or around €2,900 for a second-degree burn
No large upfront payments – you get fast support or reimbursement of your costs
Repatriation
A medically necessary repatriation* to Germany can quickly cost a five-figure sum
A medically advisable repatriation* is arranged and paid for, so you're cared for back home
In an emergency
You're often on your own finding the right doctor, hospital or course of action
Round-the-clock support worldwide – emergency help, doctor referrals, full organisation
*Medically necessary repatriation: repatriation is essential – for example because you can't be adequately treated in the country you're visiting, or your condition doesn't allow you to stay there.
*Medically advisable repatriation: it's enough for repatriation to be medically recommended – for example because you could be treated better, faster, or closer to home in Germany, even if treatment abroad would in principle be possible.
Travel health insurance is a good idea for almost every traveller – even if you already have statutory or private health insurance. What matters is where you're going, how long for, and who you're travelling with:
